Hannah had spoken to Monarch around 10 years earlier and at that time, was looking at a Traditional Granite Extension, but decided to not to proceed with the works.

Time passed, and Hannah came back to us to look at fresh ideas, where they wanted to have an outdoor feel to their extension where they wanted to maximise the amount of light into their extension and have that feeling of living in their garden to enjoy the benefit of the all the nice scenery that surrounded them along with views over the river Dee.

We designed a large Glass Gable frontage Extension with glass all round utilising some salvaged Granite from an old Garden wall for a small feature wall, where Patio doors were installed to the frontage and side of their property which lead onto a lovely Porcelain Patio. With this style of extension, a steel portal frame was installed to give the overall building, a high degree of structural stability and this also allowed for nice high ceilings with exposed timber beams. Due to the level of glass on the extension, Triple Glazed, Nordan, Aluclad timber windows were installed along with underfloor heating to maximise comfort in the colder winter months.

Quote

"The workmanship was first class and the follow up care second to none; resulting in our extension being built to an incredibly high standard. We would like to thank every one of Monarch's highly skilled team that helped bring our idea to life."
